On behalf of our entire staff, welcome to Washington Blvd Animal Hospital.  Pet owners in this area generally look upon their pets as members of their respective families.  We feel the same way.  That's one reason why we understand that your trust in us adds up to a special responsibility.

Our Standards:  We have voluntarily complied with the high standards of the American Animal Hospital Association and have qualified as an AAHA Member Hospital.  These standards apply to our facilities, equipment, practice standards and management. Evidence of compliance is through periodic inspection and examination by AAHA field representatives.

  • Dr.  Gary Throgmorton

    Dr. Gary Throgmorton

    Dr.  Gary Throgmorton was born in Oklahoma and raised in Texas. He attended the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University.  Dr. Throgmorton has been helping people and animals in our community since 1978.  He is very experienced and well rounded as a general practitioner.  He not only treats dog and cats, but birds as well. 

    Dr. Throgmorton currently has two cats; Irene and Little Bear.

  • Dr. Voorheis

    Dr. Voorheis

    Dr. Voorheis received his undergraduate degree in Zoology from Cal Poly Pomona and received his veterinary degree from University of California at Davis.

    Dr. Voorheis has a special interest in Oncology and Surgery.  He has been a veterinarian at Washington Boulevard Animal Hospital sin
    ce 1983 (however worked at WBAH as an assistant while attending Cal Poly prior to that!)

    Dr. Voorheis has 3 dogs and 3 cats.  In his free time he enjoys backpacking and baseball.

  • Dr.  Debra Donan

    Dr. Debra Donan

    Dr. Debra Donan was born and raised in California.  She earned her veterinary degree at University of California at Davis.  This is where she did her undergraduate work as well.  Dr. Donan likes the challenge of Internal Medicine and Surgery.  She was with Washington Blvd Animal Hospital in the early 1980’s, left to have a baby and came back on a part time basis.  That baby is now a college graduate!  She has several pets of her own (of varying species).

  • Dr. Sara Husain

    Dr. Sara Husain

    Dr. Sara Husain was born and raised in California.  She received a BS from UC Irvine and an MS from Cal Poly Pomona.  She received her veterinary degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine.  Dr. Husain has a special interest in Internal Medicine and sees several species of pets including pocket pets.  Dr. Husain has been with Washington Blvd Animal Hospital since 2003.  Dr. Husain has 3 cats of her own; Frieda, Monty and Zoe.  Dr. Husain loves traveling and is an avid Yankee fan.

  • Dr.  Brittin Ross

    Dr. Brittin Ross

    Dr. Brittin Ross was born in Virginia and raised in California. She received her BA from USC in Political Science.  She then pursued veterinary medicine at University of California at Davis.  Dr. Ross has a special interest in Internal Medicine, Surgery and Cardiology.  Dr. Ross has been with Washington Blvd Animal Hospital since 2009.  Dr. Ross has 2 cats; Piper and Kolo, and 2 dogs; Jacks and Lily.

  • Dr.  Dominic To

    Dr. Dominic To

    Dr. Dominic To was born in Hong Kong, China and raised in California.  He received his BS degree from UCLA in Molecular Cell Development Biology as well as a Masters in Education.  He worked as a high school science teacher before he went on to become a veterinarian.  He attended Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine.  Dr. To has a special interest in Surgery and has been with Washington Blvd Animal Hospital since 2009.  Dr. To has 3 cats of his own; Neon, Zinc and Copper.  Neon is pictured here with him.

  • Dr. Sandra Schnereger

    Dr. Sandra Schnereger

    Dr. Sandra Schnereger is a local gal.  She was born and raised in Whittier. She did her undergraduate studies at Cal Poly Pomona.  She received her veterinary degree from The College of Veterinary Medicine at Western University.  Dr. Schnereger has been with Washington Boulevard Animal Hospital since 2010.  She has 2 cats of her own; Mango and Bandit.  Bandit is pictured here with Dr. Schnereger as a kitten.
